My confidence gremlins would scream, “What if it will interest no one?” or “What if it’s lack coherence?” But over time, I learned to see those thoughts as part of the process. They weren’t a sign that I couldn’t do it - they were just my mind’s way of reacting to something new and challenging. ∆The key to overcoming confidence gremlins is to recognize that they aren’t the truth; they’re just fears dressed up as facts.∆ So the next time those gremlins try to whisper doubts in your ear, tell them, “Thanks, but no thanks.” You’ve got this.

∆If someone were to tell you that you will amount to nothing and your life is a wasted breath, you'd shove their words back to them and prove them wrong, right?∆ Funny how our minds react quite the opposite when we tell ourselves the same thing. Instead of shaking of the negative thoughts, we somehow believe them and live a mediocre life. That my friend, is called Confidence Gremlin. The internal saboteur, that persistent inner voice that questions your abilities, magnifies your flaws, and fuels feelings of inadequacy.
Every negative thought that tries to convince you that you are not doing enough, you must be perfect in all areas, or that to err isn't human must never be entertained.

You find that sometimes you are even unaware that your negative thoughts are taking over how you handle and deal with life. Aware or unaware, negative thinking has consequences on our lives. Confidence Gremlin likely results in low self-esteem, procrastination, social withdrawal, and overthinking.
Overcoming Confidence Gremlin.
Now, you are aware of the rippling effect of Confidence Gremlin and overcoming those negative thoughts can be a rollercoaster ride but it is achievable. It requires self-awareness, practice, and a commitment to developing a positive mindset. ∆You could start by accepting that negativity is a part of life, but it doesn’t have to determine how you make decisions and react to certain situations in life.∆ Pay attention to the negative thoughts that arise in challenging situations or when faced with new opportunities. Accept them for what they are, just thoughts, and they don’t mean anything unless you believe them. Negative thoughts are just manifestations of self-doubt.
When you accept this, challenge the negative thoughts. When negative thoughts start creeping, challenge them with evidence of your capabilities and past successes. Remind yourself of times you were exceptional and succeeded in certain situations. Reframe negative thoughts into more empowering ones.
Nobody is perfect, and neither are you, so stop trying to convince yourself that you have to get everything right. Shift your mindset from striving for perfection to embracing growth and learning. To err is human, and setbacks are a natural part of the journey to success. Instead of dwelling on what you can't do, celebrate the little progress you make everyday.
Despite the negative thoughts taking a toll on you, never stop taking action. Whatever needs to be done, do it afraid, regardless of what your mindset is telling you. Remember Confidence Gremlin thrives on inaction and avoidance. Even when you feel uncertain, taking action can reinforce your belief in your abilities. So every time your thoughts tell you something negative, remember you are more than what you think. Though, confidence gremlin may never completely disappear, it doesn’t have to control your life. Confidence doesn't mean you'll never be afraid, but being afraid and still choosing to believe in yourself regardless.
