You must have heard about how technology is changing the way we do things lately, but who would have thought about these possibilities few years from now? The world is always in search of leaders, but do you know that we are all leaders? You might have remembered an awkward situation when you were appointed or nominated to lead a team to deliver a task and you declined the offer not because of incompetence, but because you were scared of leading from the front. If this is you, I can understand your fear.
Leadership exist everywhere around us, but what's lacking is the will to engineer action. In politics, some politicians lack political will while in the work place and personal life, some of us lack the courage to take bold steps. Well, the concept of digital leadership is here to make us feel at ease leading from the driver's seat.
In your personal life, digital leadership is the use of advanced tools to direct your everyday task. For instance, you had a plan to learn a foreign language. Digital leadership would mean that you need to draw out a plan by setting reminders for your language classes. You can do this using the calendar in your phone and different task tracking devices available on playstore or apple store.
In your business life, digital leadership will ensure that you manage your business efficiently by using digital channels to achieve desired business outcome. It encompasses a variety of skills and abilities, including but not limited to digital transformation, digital strategy, innovation, and change management. Digital leadership is the future of personal development and organisational growth.
